Accreditations & Certifications
AAHA Accredited
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is a non-profit organization that oversees the accreditation of companion animal veterinary clinics and hospitals across the United States and Canada.
To become AAHA-accredited, our Seattle veterinary hospital has undergone a rigorous evaluation process to ensure they meet the AAHA Standards of Accreditation. These standards, which number over 900, cover hospital safety, patient care, diagnostics, pain management, contagious disease management, continuing education, dentistry, and emergency/urgent care, among others.
Fear-Free Certified
Aurora Veterinary Hospital is proud to be a Fear-Free Veterinary Practice. Fear Free certification is undertaken with the aim of reducing fear, anxiety and stress in our patients to create a better visit and healthier pet.
Fear-Free protocols at our hospital include understanding and knowing how to respond to and address signs of stress in pets, helping clients plan ahead for lower-stress appointments, creating a calm environment in our hospital and more.
